Survivors of therapy harm/abuse: the therapeutic relationship is an asymmetrical one, and unfortunately, it is relatively easy for many people to end up being harmed by therapy, which is a tragedy in itself as it means to become harmed by what was hoped to be the “cure”. Therapy can be triggering for individuals who have undergone therapy harm or simply disappointment in the mental health field. As someone who has been subject to therapy harm, has presented nationally and internationally on the subject, and has taught about it I just want you to know that you are seen.

This section plans to incorporate resources about Therapy Harm and Therapy Abuse. To avoid repetition, I am providing here a link to the Therapy Harm Resistance Project which provides a vast amount of resources.

Also, as a contributor to that project, I am providing a link to my paper: Shattered Intimacy, Desolating Truths: Ruptures due to Ethical Misconduct which I have presented in this matter on multiple occasions (it keeps being revisited throughout the years).
